Word has leaked out that Verizon's popular Android OS-based smartphone the HTC Droid Incredible will be updated with some new features: Wi-Fi hotspot software and the ability to record 720p video.
An update for this Android OS smartphone will supposedly allow it to share its 3G Internet connection with other devices over a Wi-Fi connection, essentially acting as a portable wireless router.
This service will reportedly add $20 a month to the customer's wireless bill.
In addition, the ability to record high definition video will allegedly be added. The Incredible's 8 megapixel camera is physically capable of this, but the software to make it possible isn't available now.
When this unconfirmed system software update will be released is not known.
