I hate to say I told you so, but if you didn't take my article from last week about the mobile display industry seriously, well then...I told you so. Our very own Barry Doyle has an interesting side-by-side picture of two Tungsten T3's that will make buyers of the device very concerned.
Barry is the editor who wrote the Tungsten 3 review two weeks ago. He liked the device so much he decided to buy one through Amazon (his T3 was a loaner from Palm). Well, last night Barry realized a terrible thing, as you can see below.

Side-by-side picture taken in darkness.
On the left is the T3 from Amazon, on the right is our loaner unit from Palm. I’ve already sent Palm an email asking for confirmation that their displays are sourced from at least two vendors. Hopefully we’ll receive either confirmation on this or some sort of explanation by Palm.
At this point I feel bad for them. The T3 is an amazing device. However, problems with the SD slot, and now this, do not bode well. Hopefully this is the end of the bad news when it comes to the T3.
