Verizon and Motorola have been collaborating on a number of Android OS smartphones, and images of another model in the Droid series have leaked out.
These show that this upcoming device will apparently have a portrait-oriented sliding keyboard. This will set it apart from its predecessors, which have either had a landscape-oriented keyboard or no physical keyboard at all.
Despite being exceptionally blurry, the leaked pictures show that this model will be made by Motorola and are going to be part of Verizon's Droid series.
Aside from these few details, little is known about this model, not even its name. Verizon said earlier this year that it intends to reserve the "Droid" name for its high-end Android OS models, which could be a hint of the specifications for this Motorola smartphone.
More about the Droid Series
The Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid Eris, released last year, were the first model in the Droid series. These were followed a few months later by the HTC Droid Incredible, while the Motorola Droid X was released last week.
Verizon is expected to introduce the Motorola Droid 2 next month.
