Aceeca PDA32 To Be a Palm OS Blast from the Past

For those who are into old school mobility, it will soon be possible to buy a PDA running the Garnet OS -- which used to be named the Palm OS back in the day.

This device has been designed for companies who created industrial apps back when the Palm OS was in its heyday and would still like to use them. Consumers who are feeling nostalic will be able to pick one up, too.

The Aceeca PDA32 is going to offer a 3.2-inch, 320x480 (HVGA) Touchscreen in a ruggedized casing. A set of directional buttons will be set on the front, below the display.

It will run Garnet OS v5.4 on a Samsung S3C2440 400 MHz processor, and have an SD memory card slot and a 2,600 mAh battery

Optional features will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IrDA, stereo headset jack. These will add $10 to $20 each to the base price.

This retro device is going to be 5.0 x 3.0 x 1.0 inches (128 x 76 x 25 mm) and 6.9 ounces (196 g).

Pricing and Availability
The Aceeca PDA32 is available for pre-order now. The base unit sells for $180.

This PDA is expected to start shipping some time in August.
