Apple has sent developers the second beta version of iOS 4.1, an upcoming update for this company's operating system for the iPhone and iPod touch.
This is going to include a few enhancements, such as a new look for the Game Center. This app -- a social networking service for mobile gamers -- might debut with the release of iOS 4.1, or it might come later in the year.
Other changes included tweaks to the appearance of the camera application, the ability to add FaceTime contacts to favorites, and a few others.
Notably absent is a fix for the proximity sensor issue that some iPhone 4 users have reported. This causes the screen to turn itself back on during phone calls.
It is not known when Apple is going to release the iOS 4.1 upgrade to the general public.
