Verizon has introduced a bevy of Android OS smartphones in the last few months, and it seems like the flood is going to continue. One of the models supposedly headed to this carrier in the coming weeks is the Samsung Gem.
Not much is known about this model yet, aside from an unconfirmed report that it run Google's Android OS with Samsung's TouchWiz 3.0 user interface layered on top.
An image of the Gem that accompanies the leak shows that this will be a relatively small device with a Touchscreen and a diamond-shaped touchpad.
At this point, none of the other specifications for this model are known.
Coming Next Month?
According to the source for the leaked image, the Samsung Gem is going to be introduced in early September.
The price for this upcoming smartphone is not yet known.
A second Samsung device running Google's operating system is also rumored to be headed for Verizon in September, the Samsung Fascinate.
