Google has just introduced Voice Actions for Android. This feature allows users to control their smartphone with a selected group of spoken commands. It can perform many common actions, like sending a text or playing a specific song.
With Voice Actions, users can enter the following commands:
Users activate this feature by tapping the microphone button on the Google search box on the homescreen, or pressing down for a few seconds on the physical search button. This brings up the “Speak Now” screen window.
Installation
Voice Actions requires Android OS 2.2. To install this free software, go to the Android Market and get a new version of the Google Search widget as well as the latest version of Voice Search.
