Verizon Testing $99 Unlimited Service Plan

Verizon Wireless is reportedly letting customers in a couple of test markets sign up for a $99 "all you can eat" plan with unlimited phone calls, data transfers, and text messages.

Currently, Verizon's unlimited "Nationwide Talk & Text" plan is $90, and adding unlimited data to that is $30 more.

The $99 plan is being tested in Verizon stores in Los Angeles and San Diego, according to industry sources.

Up Against the Competition
If Verizon's new less-expensive plan goes beyond the test markets, it will put Verizon's unlimited plan at the same price as Sprint's "Any Mobile, Anytime" plan, which this carrier frequently touts in its TV ads.

T-Mobile also offers unlimited voice, data, and texts for $100, but AT&T no longer offers unlimited data plans.
