T-Mobile myTouch HD To Offer a Range of Cutting-Edge Features

Many more specifications on the upcoming T-Mobile myTouch HD have leaked out, showing that this will be a high-end model running the latest version of the Android OS on a 1 GHz processor, and sporting a large screen and dual cameras.

Reports on this upcoming model have been surfacing since mid summer, but until now there have been few details. A document that has just leaked out of T-Mobile fills in many of the blank spots on the myTouch HD, though not all of them.

It will supposedly have a tablet shape dominated by a 3.8-inch touchscreen. The resolution for this is not yet known, but given the "HD" in its name, it could be WVGA (800 x 640).

The myTouch HD will run Google's Android OS 2.2 on a 1 GHz dual-core processor, if this unconfirmed report is correct.

It will have support for T-Mobile's HSPA+ service, which means it will will be able to wirelessly transfer data fast enough to rival or surpass current 4G networks. It will also have Wi-Fi.

This smartphone will allegedly include a 5 megapixel real-racing camera, as well as a a front-facing VGA one for video conferencing -- a first for a T-Mobile smartphone. Users will be able to make calls over Wi-Fi or 3G.

It will reportedly have 4 GB of internal storage and be bundled with an 8 GB microSD card, which can be swapped out for a 32 GB card at the owners' discretion.

Pricing & Availability
At this point, nothing about the price or the release date for the T-Mobile myTouch HD has laked out yet.

However, this model is unlikely to be on the market before the T-Mobile G2, which is scheduled for release in the first part of October.
