Google announced today that many smartphone and tablet users will soon be able to edit the files stored in Google Docs, a free online word processor and spreadsheet app.
This company gave a demonstration of this new function at Google Atmosphere, which is going on in Paris.
According to this announcement, support for editing online documents and spreadsheets is coming to Android OS-based devices, as well as the Apple iPad.
Google Docs was created to be a collaboration tool, and its developer promises that mobile users will be able to edit files at the same time as their co-workers, whether they are using a smartphone or a desktop.
The company was vague about when this feature will be added to Google Docs, just saying that it will be available "in the next few weeks".
