TechnologyGuide and Brighthand will host a mobile media presentation and panel on mobile marketing this week at the CTIA Enterprise & Applications 2010 event in San Francisco.
Panelists will discuss trends and real world tactics in mobile marketing, text-based messaging campaigns, and innovative 2D Quick Code techniques that take advantage of the latest mobile platforms to deliver compelling marketing content to users. As part of the presentation, panel members will discuss and demonstrate techniques that use the Web and emerging smartphone platforms to interact with consumers and business customers.
"Mobile smartphones are quickly evolving to become a primary pathway onto the Internet for all types of users," said Tim Scannell, TechnologyGuide Editorial Director. "This has created a whole new audience that is closer to the point of purchase and ready to make on-the-spot buying decisions if they have the right information at the right time."
Panel members include: Carol Glennon, CEO, Renu Mobile; Heath Brown, CTO and Co-founder, TXTWire; Ed Hardy, Editor of Brighthand, the smartphone reviews and evaluations Web site; and Keelin Czellecz, representing Cellar Key, a proprietary marketing platform by Lion Nathan Wine Group. Both Renu Mobile and Cellar Key will discuss and demonstrate the use of 2D Quick Codes to capture and build buyer communities.
Included in the program will be a video showcase, spotlighting some of the most clever and innovative.commercial and user-generated commercial parodies today. Video clips will include popular commercial segments and their parodies -- highlighting the effectiveness of mobile video messaging.
"The Brighthand Mobile Film Festival spotlights the ingenuity and creative nature of mobile film. Film content generated for mobile consumption has evolved at a phenomenal rate and will come to have significant bearing on the consumer decision process in the near future," says Carol Glennon, Chief Executive Officer of Renu Mobile, a festival sponsor.
Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite UGC videos using their mobile phones and technology hosted by Renu Mobile, a technology sponsor of the event. The winning filmmaker will be awarded a $50 gift card. CTIA attendees participating in the contest will also be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card.
