T-Mobile G2 Available at a Discount for New T-Mobile Customers

The regular price for the T-Mobile G2 is $200 with contract, but those who are willing to switch to T-Mobile can get this Android OS smartphone for half that.

The recently-released G2 is a slider with a large touchscreen, fast processor, and other high-end features. It has the typical price for a device with its feature set.

However, wireless carriers regularly offer special deals to new customers, hoping that discounts on phones will lure in additional subscribers. That's why the the G2 is available for $100 to those who are willing to switch carriers.

T-Mobile G2 Overview
The T-Mobile G2 is a slider with a 3.7-inch, WVGA touchscreen, an optical touchpad, and landscape-oriented keyboard.

It runs Android OS 2.2 on an 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

This smartphone has 4 GB of internal storage, plus it is bundled with an 8 GB microSD memory card.

Because this device runs the latest version of Google's operating system, it has a very capable web browser with support for Adobe Flash. It also includes email software, music and video player, and support for Exchange ActiveSync.

The G2 supports T-Mobile HSPA+ service, which means it is able to wirelessly transfer data fast enough to rival or surpass current 4G networks.
