T-Mobile's next model running Google's Android OS is going to debut an an unusually low price: just $30 with contract.
The LG Optimus T has been designed to appeal to those buying their first smartphone, and this price will certainly help.
T-Mobile has also announced that this model will debut a week from tomorrow, on November 3.
LG Optimus T Overview
As an entry-level smartphone, this model is going to include 3.2-inch, HVGA Touchscreen -- smaller and lower resolution than the displays in more costly devices.
The Optimus T will run Android OS 2.2 on a 600 MHz processor, so it will have the latest version of Google's operating system, but a slower chip than high-end devices use. Still, it is going to include a collection of entertainment and communication apps, including a very capable web browser, navigation software, multimedia player, and much more.
It won't be short in wireless functionality, offering 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Plus this smartphones will have a 3 megapixel auto-focus camera and a 1500 mAh battery.
T-Mobile is going to bundle a 2 GB microSD memory card with its device, giving users a bit of space to store music, video, and other files.
Sprint will also offer a version of this model called the LG Optimus S.
