A beta version of Opera Mobile 10.1 is now available in the Android market, giving users of smartphones running Google's operating system another option in web browsers.
Opera Mini for Android has been available for some time, but this is a stripped down version designed primarily to reduce the amount of data used when surfing the Web -- Opera Mobile rivals the capabilities of the desktop version of this application, including the Presto rendering engine.
Opera promises that its browser offers faster page loading than its rivals. And users will have the option to turn on Opera Turbo, which reduces the bandwidth required by up to 80%, increasing its speed on slow networks.
This browser offers tabs, Opera Link for synchronizing bookmarks across devices, as well as a password manager.
