Since it debuted over the summer, Sprint's HTC EVO 4G has been available in only one color: black. Starting this week, this high-end Android OS smartphone can be purchased in a white casing.
However, potential customers should be aware that while this new version has a white back plate, the front plate is still black.
This is a purely cosmetic change -- there are no internal differences in this new version.
Overview of the HTC EVO 4G
The HTC EVO 4G was the first smartphone available in the U.S. with WiMAX. This very high-end model also has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, a slim tablet shape, and 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.
It runs Google's Android OS, and has HTC Sense, this company's alternate user interface that expands on Google's standard one.
Other features include 8 GB of removable storage, GPS, an 8 megapixel camera, video conferencing, Wi-Fi, and much more.
The EVO 4G can be purchased in either black or white at Sprint.com. It is selling for $200 with a two-year contract.
