Android OS users can now downloaded an official app for the Google Reader service. Like its desktop equivalent, this allows smartphone users to collect content from their favorite websites in a single location.
For those who are unfamiliar with it, Google Reader is a bit like an advanced RSS reader, allowing users users to subscribe to an array of websites and aggregate their content in one place.
The first Android OS version offers most of the features users of this service are accustomed to, though some have asked that future versions support offline reading.
Pricing and Availability
Google Reader for Android OS is available now in the on-device Android Market. It is free.
It runs on models with Android OS 2.0 or higher.
