The PDA market is dead, murdered by the smartphone. With the Eee Note, it seems Asus is betting that PDAs can find new life somewhere between the eReader and tablet as a travel/meeting/class companion for students and busy professionals.
It's not easy to find a device similar to the Asus Eee Note currently on the market. Like the Personal Digital Assistants of old, it is controlled by a stylus, and it sports a host of productivity tools and a full web browser with HTML 5 support,
But with its 8-inch 768 x 1024 display, the Eee Note is significantly larger than any Palm or Pocket PC ever was. But its monochrome display keeps it from being a typical tablet.
