T-Mobile's focus on its 4G network in 2011 is off to a good start, as details about the carrier's newest HSPA+ smartphone, the Motorola Cliq 2 (aka Begonia) have just been revealed.
The Cliq 2 is the next Android OS phone for Motorola, following behind the most recent Defy, and will most likely be this manufacturer's first HSPA+ device.
Images of the Cliq 2 were recently leaked out, along with some details and specs.
In addition to its touchscreen, it is supposedly going to feature a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which will be modeled in a unique, honeycomb-style design.
The version of the Android OS that the Cliq 2 will run -- be it OS 2.2 (Froyo), OS 2.3 (Gingerbread), or Honeycomb -- is still unknown. It will reportedly feature a new version of the MOTOBLUR UI skin for the operating system.
The smartphone is also going to be equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with flash and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Motorola Cliq 2, which will be available to T-Mobile customers, will be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in early January, with a supposed release date of January 19.
