A great many Apple iPhone users are complaining that the Alarm Clock app on their smartphone continues having problems for a third day, despite Apple's claim that these should have disappeared today.
This weekend, people around the world overslept because their iPhone didn't wake them up. Yesterday, Apple acknowledged that there was a problem, but said this would fix itself on Jan. 3.
Nevertheless, there are a large number of complaints on Twitter and other websites from users complaining that the alarm they set on their iPhone didn't go off today. For example, a user of the Brighthand Forums who goes by the user name dkimak wrote "I found that it extends beyond Jan 1 and 2 as my alarm did not go off this morning (Jan 3)."
Apple has not yet responded to the complaints made today. The advice given yesterday, that users make all the alarms re-occurring even if they only need a one-time reminder, is likely still the best suggestion.
This bug affects only the Alarm Clock app, not the Calendar. And the problem has also been seen on the iPod touch.
