Google has just announced that the beta version of Google Cloud Print will be coming to a wide range of smartphones over the next few days. This free service will enable users to print emails and documents from their mobile device.
Announced back in April, Google’s ambitious print service works on phones that support HTML5. This includes devices running Apple iOS 3+ or Google's own Android 2.1+ (sorry Windows Phone 7 users, perhaps one day that update will come).
The service works like this:
Users so far have encountered some bugs in the beta version, such as trouble viewing menus in landscape mode. Also, Google Cloud Print is English-only for the time being.
Brighthand will provide updates as Google tweaks the service.
