Sprint to Reveal Dual-Touchscreen Android Smartphone Tonight

Sprint looks to double the pleasure of its customers later today when it officially reveals the Echo, an upcoming dual-touchscreen smartphone.

Manufactured by Kyocera of Japan, the Echo will sport two 3.5-inch touchscreens that can be arranged side by side. Items can be dragged from one screen to another, and multiple tasks can be performed simultaneously on the two displays.
When one of the screens isn't in use, it can be tucked beneath the other via a pivot hinge, giving the device an appearance akin to a more conventional smartphone.

The Echo, which will be unveiled at an event in Manhattan tonight, will run Google’s Android OS, though what version it will support, as well as details about its pricing, are still unknown.

News about the dual-screen smartphone were leaked by a person “familiar with the device,” according to the Wall Street Journal, but no official word will come until the evening tonight, as spokesmen from Sprint and Kyocera have declined to comment on the Echo for the time being.
