AT&T Giving iPhone Users 1,000 Bonus Rollover Minutes; Others Can Nab Them as Well

AT&T lost a lot of customers to the new Verizon iPhone. The cell phone carrier would like to thank those who stayed on, and as a show of gratitude, is giving iPhone users 1,000 free rollover voice minutes.

This offer comes in the form of a text message. To redeem the minutes, the recipient of the text message just has to reply "yes".

Another Option
For AT&T users who do not have iPhones, and therefore did not receive the message, there's still a way to earn a piece of the free minutes pie.

The message is being sent from the SMS number 11113020, and even if a user didn't receive the initial text message, any AT&T customer who sends a message that says "yes" to that number will receive 1,000 free minutes.

The free minutes will be redeemable for iPhone users through March 31. Non-iPhone AT&T customers should probably move sooner rather than later, just in case AT&T catches wind of its mistake and decides not to spread the free minutes around.
