Dell Product Roadmap Shows Three High-End Smartphones This Year

Sometimes information on upcoming products comes out in tiny rivulets, and sometimes it pours out like a mighty river. Today is one of those latter types.

A document showing all the smartphones that Dell is going to release in 2011 has leaked out. This will include two models running Google's Android OS and one with Microsoft Windows Phone 7.

Not all of the details on these devices are available yet, but a few of their most important specifications accompanied this leak, along with some very small images.

Dell Wrigley
The first smartphone supposedly on Dell's agenda will be code-named "Wrigley". This will run Windows Phone 7 "Next Generation" -- apparently a reference to the undated version of this operating system that Microsoft's CEO mentioned earlier this week.

The device will be another portrait-oriented slider like the Venue Pro, with a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) screen. It will supposedly be based on a 1GHz processor and include an 8 megapixel camera.

According to the leaked product roadmap, the Dell Wrigley is scheduled for a late July release.

Dell Hancock
Just a month or so later, Dell fans can apparently look forward to the Hancock, an Android OS-based smartphone that will have a landscape-oriented sliding keyboard and a 4-inch qHD (960 x 640) touchscreen.

It will use a dual-core processor, though the speed of this chip is not yet known, and run the next version of Google's operating system, code-named Ice Cream.

This device will allegedly have an 8-megapixel, rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one.

Dell is going to release the Hancock in late August or early September.

Dell Millennium
Following closely on this device's heels will supposedly be the Millennium, which will have a bar shape and a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) display.

This will be another smartphone running Android OS Ice Cream on a dual-core processor.

According to the leaked specifications for this model, it will have DLNA support, along with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing VGA camera.

The Dell Millennium will allegedly reach customer's hands in October.

Three Tablets
In addition to these smartphones, Dell is also reportedly prepping a number of tablets. These will be a combination of Android OS and Windows 7 models in various sizes.
