NTT DoCoMo will make a CF Videophone card available for sale in Japan this Friday. The card will enable calls between PDAs, PCs and other properly equipped devices. So forget about "Can you hear me now?" the question is going to be, "Can you see me now?"

Of course this will be another in the long list of goodies that we'll not see in the Americas or Europe, at least not right away. The PDA is offering more and more functionality every day, most of which is centered around wireless communications. To support all these efforts, the next trick will be to build a better battery. Hopefully they'll get that figured out in Asia pretty quickly too. Battery technology is easier to import than wireless!
