One of the many high-end Android OS smartphones reportedly on the drawing boards is the HTC Pyramid. While some of the specs of this model -- which is supposedly headed for T-Mobile -- have leaked out before, the first images have just appeared.
The Pyramid will reportedly be chock full of cutting edge features, starting with a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) Super-LCD touchscreen.
It will run Google's mobile operating system on a 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of RAM. A previous report on this smartphone indicated that it could have a dual-core chip -- HTC bases its Android models on chips from Qualcomm, and this company is on the process of bringing out a 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
Oddly, the source of the leaked image says that the Pyramid will run Android OS 3.0, which is impossible, as this OS version is for tablets only. However, this could be a reference to Android OS 2.4, the next version for smartphones, which is expected to debut this summer.
This HTC model will supposedly include two cameras: an 8-megapixel rear-facing one, and a 1.3-megapixel one on its front.
According to an earlier unconfirmed report, the HTC Pyramid is going to be released by T-Mobile at some time later this year.
