TeleNav has begun offering a basic turn-by-turn navigation app free to Verizon customers with an Android OS smartphone. The company is also offering a more advanced version of this app for half off.
The free version of this software offers spoken directions and 3D maps. It also gives users a database of over 22 million local business, restaurants, landmarks, and more.
The premium version adds proactive traffic alerts and re-routing around accidents, suggestions about the best lane to be in, warnings about speed traps and red light cameras, and much more.
Price and Availability
Navigation by TeleNav-FREE can be downloaded now from the Android Market.
The Premium version is normally $39.99 a year, but until March 31, is selling for half that: $19.99.
