AT&T is prepping another model running Microsoft Windows Phone 7. This won't be a brand new device though -- the HTC HD7S will be a slightly re-branded version of the HD7, an updated version of a high-end model that debuted last year.
This smartphone is going to have a tablet shape, with a 4.3-inch WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive, multi-touch display. This will be a Super LCD, rather than the standard LCD in the original HD7 that's offered by T-Mobile USA.
The HD7S will debut running the latest version of Windows Phone 7 which now includes the ability to copy and paste text.
It is going to be based on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and have 16GB of built-in storage for holding music, video, and other files.
The design for this model includes a kickstand on its back to make it easier to watch video, and it will come pre-loaded with an AT&T U-verse Mobile application. This will allow subscribers of this service to download and watch TV shows on their Windows Phone.
Price & Availability
The HTC HD7S will be available in company-owned AT&T retail locations and at www.wireless.att.com at some point in the coming weeks.
It is being announced today so AT&T can demonstrate it at the CTIA tradeshow, which starts tomorrow in Orlando.
