The rumors about the HTC Evo 3D were confirmed when the device was officially unveiled by Sprint today at CTIA. This upcoming Android OS smartphone will offer a combination of glasses-free 3D, a dual-core processor, and 4G.
Many of the EVO 3D's previously leaked specs were validated by the unveiling, including its 1.2 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor, the 4.3-inch screen, Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread), the dual 5-megapixel cameras for 3D photos and video, and the front-facing, 1.3 megapixel camera for video chat.
The 3D footage and images taken by the EVO 3D can be viewed on 3D-enabled HDTVs via the smartphone's HDMI out. In an attempt to provide users with 3D other than their own, this smartphone will also come pre-loaded with Blockbuster on Demand, which includes 3D titles.
