Some new images of an upcoming cutting-edge Android OS smartphone have come to light. The HTC Pyramid is reportedly going to sport a dual-core processor and a very large, high-resolution display, and be headed for T-Mobile.
Renderings of the Pyramid have leaked out before, but the latest images are the first to show this handset "in the wild".
They also show that this smartphone is going to run HTC Sense 3.0 layered on top of Google's standard user interface.
Specifications for the HTC Pyramid
Many of the details of this high-end model have leaked out previously, but the latest images help confirm them.
The HTC Pyramid will supposedly run Android OS 2.3.2 (Gingerbread) on a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 768MB of RAM.
If unconfirmed reports are correct, this device will include a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) Super-LCD touchscreen.
It will also supposedly include two cameras: an 8-megapixel rear-facing one, and a VGA one on its front for video conferencing.
This model will apparently have quite a bit in common with the HTC EVO 3D, aside from the 3D screen, of course.
Also on the Pyramid's leaked specs list is Wi-Fi b/g/n, but all other hardware details remain a mystery.
Headed for T-Mobile?
Previous reports have indicated that the HTC Pyramid is going to be offered by T-Mobile, and will become this carrier's new flagship smartphone.
When this is going to happen is not yet known, though.
