Those with an AT&T handset running Windows Phone 7 can take heart: according to Microsoft's official schedule, the delayed system software upgrade for their smartphone should be available in the next few weeks.
Many are looking forward to this update, as it will bring cut, copy, and paste functions.
T-Mobile's models have already begun to receive this update -- which goes by the code-name "NoDo" -- but those with an HTC Surround, LG Quantum, and Samsung Focus are still waiting.
Still, that wait won't be much longer. Microsoft says that the testng phase for the version of this upgrade for these three AT&T models will be over in early April, and the release should come about 10 days after it is complete.
Not Going Smoothly
The release of the NoDo was originally sheduled to happen early this month, but Microsoft ran into problems.
The company released a small preliminary update in February that was supposed to pave ther way for the more significant upgrade to flollow, but around 10% of Windows Phone 7 devices were unable to install it.
Since then, Microsoft has been working out the bugs and trtying to get these upgrades out as soon as possible.
