HTC Droid Incredible 2 and Samsung Droid Charge Prices Leak Out

The HTC Droid Incredible 2 and Samsung Droid Charge are two of the high-end Android OS smartphones that Verizon is expected to release later this month. Those who are considering getting one of these should be interested in the price list that has just leaked out.

The Droid Incredible 2 -- the successor to one of last year's most successful models -- will supposedly sell for $200 with a two-year wireless service contract. This is the usual price for a high-end smartphone these days.

This model is expected to have a 4-inch WVGA display, slightly larger than the one in its predecessor. It's going to run Google's Android OS on the same 1GHz processor, though. It's supposedly set to launch on April 28.

The reported price for the Droid Charge is more than a bit surprising: $300 with contract. It's not clear why Verizon would consider charging this much for this model, as it won't have a feature set to justify such a high price. This raises the possibility that the leaked price list is inaccurate, or doesn't include something like a mail-in rebate that would lower the overall cost.

The Samsung Droid Charge will be the second smartphone to support Verizon's 4G LTE network, and it will also include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. According to an unconfirmed report, it is going to debut this Thursday, April 7.
