Apple iPod touch 5 Might Include 128 GB of Storage

Some images supposedly showing the next-generation iPod touch have leaked out. If these are real, they show that Apple has redesigned the Home button on its next handheld, and is also planning to double the storage capacity of this device.

The fifth iteration of the iPod touch will supposedly see the the physical Home button replaced with a capacitive one. This will apparently perform the same function, but won't wear out the way a real button does.

One of the images that has leaked out shows that the device will have 128 GB of built-in storage, which is twice the capacity of the current model.

Other Possible Specifications
The latest iPad tablet debuted running Apple's A5 dual-core processor, and the iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5 are expected to do likewise.

In addition, there have been rumors that this company's upcoming smartphone  will have a slightly larger screen than any of its predecessors. If these turn out to be true, then its handheld will almost certainly have the same display.

The reverse is also true: if Apple really plans to put a capacitive Home button on the iPod touch, then the next iPhone will likely have one as well.

Apple traditionally introduces new iPod touch versions each fall, and its next model is considered likely to hit store shelves the same time this year.
