The regular price for the new T-Mobile G2x is $200, but the retailer Radio Shack has this cutting-edge Android smartphone for half that. This device offers a very large display, a dual-core processor, and other advanced features.
This special deal is available only on Radio Shack's website, but it's open to new T-Mobile customers as well as those who qualify for an upgrade subsidy. In order to get the $100 price, customers must agree to a two-year voice and data contract.
T-Mobile G2x Overview
The recently-released G2x is one of the most advanced smartphones on the market. It offers a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, and support for HDMI mirroring.
This device can connect to T-Mobile's 4G network, plus it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and DLNA. Other items on the feature list are an 8GB microSD memory card and a 1,500 mAh battery.
The T-Mobile G2x runs Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) now, and this carrier says that an upgrade to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) will be released in the near future. It is a rebranded version of the LG Opimus 2X.
