HTC Droid Incredible 2 on Sale for Just $80

Even though the HTC Droid Incredible 2 debuted recently at $200 with a wireless service contract, Amazon.com is already having a sale that drops this high-end Android smartphone to less than half that cost.

Both new Verizon customers and current ones that qualify for a subsidized upgrade can purchase the Incredible 2 on the Amazon.com website for $80. The deal requires a two-year voice and data service agreement.

Not only does this deal beat Verizon's price, it's also better than what's being offered by other online phone stores. LetsTalk.com has this model for $100 to new subscribers, while Wirefly is selling it for $150 for new and current Verizon customers.

HTC Droid Incredible 2 Overview
The Droid Incredible 2 is the replacement for one of Verizon's most popular models of last year. It has a bigger display than its predecessor, a better rear-facing camera, and other enhancements.

The touchscreen has gone from 3.7-inches to 4-inches but the resolution is staying the same: WVGA (800 x 480). And a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video conferencing has been added. 

Like the original, this new smartphone runs Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) on a 1GHz processor. It comes with a 16GB microSD card, giving it more storage capacity.

This new model isn't able to connect to Verizon's 4G network, but it is a worldphone, which means it is able to connect to both Verizon's CDMA network and the GSM networks used in Europe, S. America, and elsewhere. It also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
