Samsung Exhibit 4G Coming on June 8

While June 8th is already seeing a release of two Android smartphones for T-Mobile customers -- the HTC Sensation 4G and the Samsung Gravity Touch 2 -- one more handset has been thrown into the mix of devices being released that day: the Samsung Exhibit 4G.

Formerly known as the "Hawk," the Exhibit 4G will be the third device to run on T-Mobile's 21Mbps, HSPA+ network. It will sport a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and will feature dual cameras: a rear-facing, 3-megapixel camera with flash and a front-facing, VGA camera for video chat. Preloaded software on the Exhibit 4G includes a handful of premium games, including Bejeweled 2, Scrabble, and Doodle Jump.

Though it has been confirmed that the Exhibit 4G will be an Android device, exactly which version of Google's operating system will be featured on the phone at the time of its launch is not yet known.

Currently, the dealer price is set at $325, which would probably put the subsidized price (after contracts and/or mail-in rebates) somewhere between $100 and $150. The leaked document that revealed the June 8 release date of the Exhibit 4G lists that a $50 mail-in rebate will be available, so the final price point will all depend on how much T-Mobile is willing to knock off in the name of a new contract.
