An internal roadmap of when Verizon is going to release a number of smartphones running Google's Android OS has leaked out. This reveals the launch dates for some highly-anticipated models, such as the Motorola Droid Bionic.
The Droid Bionic was originally scheduled to debut in the spring, but it's release was pushed back so Motorola could re-design it. This model will have a 4.3-inch, qHD (960 x 540) Touchscreen and a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. According to the leaked document, this handset is going to be be introduced on September 8.
That will also supposedly be the release date for the Samsung Stratosphere. Exactly what this smartphone will be is not yet clear. There is some speculation that this will be Verizon's version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, the replacement for the Samsung Fascinate. Previous reports have said this will be called the Samsung Function, but there is no mention of a a device called the Function on the leaked roadmap.
The LG Revolution 2 will allegedly be introduced on October 20. This is something of a surprise, as the original Revolution debuted in late May, meaning its replacement is apparently coming very quickly.
Other models on the leaked roadmap that little or no other information is available about include the Samsung Illusion and HTC Bliss (September 29), HTC Vigor (October 6), and Samsung Plato (January).
