RIM has announced three new variations in the BlackBerry Curve 9350 series that will run the latest version of BlackBerry OS 7. These will be mid-range smartphones with average feature sets, and are designed to appeal to consumers.
All three models are going to sport 2.44-inch displays with 480 x 360 resolutions and each will feature 800 MHz processors, support for up to 32GB of memory via a microSD card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. The three devices will also feature a 5MP camera with flash and video recording and 4x digital zoom.
BlackBery OS 7 isn't a dramatic improvment over its predecessor, but it does include a markedly faster web browser, as well as voice-activated search. There are also a number of other small changes throughout the operating system.
Though the three models in this upcooming series look identical, there are some differences. The Curve 9350 and 9370 are both going to be CDMA devices, while the 9360 will be a GSM model. The 9360 will support EDGE/HSDPA connectivity and the 9370 will have CDMA/EV-DO and EDGE connectivity. While the Curve 9350 and 9360 are both going to feature 512MB of RAM and 512MB of storage, the 9370 will include 512MB of RAM and 1GB of storage.
