Motorola Pro+ Designed for Business Users

Motorola has just taken the wraps off a new smartphone that will target professionals, the Motorola Pro+. This device will run Android but have a design reminiscent of a BlackBerry.

It is going to have a 3.1-inch, VGA (640 x 480) Touchscreen set above a small QWERTY keyboard. This is a design popular with business users.

The Pro+ will run Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) in a 1GHz single-core processor. It is going to be loaded up with business-oriented software, such as Quickoffice Connect for working with Office files. It will also have Motorola's security software.  

On its feature list is 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It's going to come with a 4GB microSD card for storage, as well as a 5MP rear-facing camera.

This device will apparently be the GSM version of the the Motorola Droid Pro from Verizon, which Sprint offers as the Motorola XPRT.

Coming This Fall
The Motorola Pro+ is scheduled to debut in Europe and Asia next month. There is no word yet on a U.S. release, but Motorola says there will be versions compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile.

Pricing will depend on the carriers that offer this model, and will vary from country to country.
