Nokia 703 Could Be Nokia's Initial Smartphone with Windows Phone 7.5

A recent leak of what's apparently a marketing image of an upcoming Nokia smartphone could confirm several specs for this company's first handset running Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system.  

If the image is accurate, it appears the model will be a mid-range device which will go by the moniker Nokia 703. Some of the spec highlights include a 3.7-inch WVGA (480 x 800) LCD display and a 5MP camera with support for 720p HD video capture. In addition the handset is supposedly going to come with 8GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and measure in at 112 x 60.8 x 12.3mm. The Nokia 703 will hit shelves Nov. 27, according to the text on the leaked photo. 

Does This Look Familiar?
Some speculate that the Nokia 703 may be Nokia’s “Sea Ray,” the device that CEO Stephen Elop previewed back in June. The Sea Ray is said to be the company’s premier device with Windows Phone 7.5.

The leaked image of the Nokia 703 and the Sea Ray that previewed earlier this summer look similar enough that they could be the same device. Besides a change in casing color from black to blue, there are no radical differences between the two handsets. However, prevuiously it was believed that the Sea Ray would sport the same 3.9-inch AMOLED display as the Nokia N9, but a 3.7-inch screen isn’t too far off in size.

As usual Nokia is keeping mum on the matter but the world is likely to learn more at Nokia World in October.
