The latest version of the Madden NFL football game franchise has been released for Android, iPhone and iPad.
Dubbed Madden 12, the price tags for the mobile versions of the game are a little kinder to the wallet than the PS3 edition, with the app costing $6.99 for Android, $6.99 for iPhone and $9.99 for iPad.
With 32 NFL teams, each with their own stadium, the game offers an updated roster of nearly 2,500 players and detailed playbooks for each team. Gamers can choose plays for running and passing commands via intuitive Touchscreen controls.
Players can also explore multiple gameplay modes, such as Exhibition, Season and Playoff, and can choose an entire 16-game NFL season or a casual one-ff match. The iOS iteration of Madden comes connected with EA’s Origin social network, allowing gamers to unlock achievements and post high scores online to team leaderboards, though Origin registration is required first.
EA promises enhanced animation and better collision visuals for the iPad 2 with its latest edition of Madden. Yet, besides updated rosters and playbooks, Madden 12 brings little evolution of graphics from Madden 11, which garnered rave reviews for its Retina-optimization.
