iPhone 5 Already in Heavy Production, Ready to Meet Heavy Demand

Apple has yet to announce its next-generation smartphone, but it's supposedly going to be released released in just under a month from today. To get ready, several companies in Asia are reportedly hard at work making the iPhone 5.

Foxconn Electronics has produced smartphones for Apple in the past, and is allegedly contininuing to do so with the next model, to the tune of 150,000 units a day. Touchscreen, battery, and other component makers are also reportedly working at full capacity making parts for this device.

Between 5 and 6 million units are supposedly going to be produced this month. Demand for the iPhone 5 is expected to be high, especially as unconfirmed reports indicate that this will be Apple's first smartphone to be available from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile on launch day.

With the announcment of this product not expected for weeks, the details of this handset remain the topic of rumors, leaks and speculation. According to these semi-reliable sources, it will have a slightly larger screen than its predecessors, a dual-core processor, and an 8MP camera.
