HTC Titan Bringing Its Massive Display to AT&T

AT&T customers will soon be able to get their hands on the HTC Titan. This recently-announced model will have a display that's almost 5 inches, as well as the latest version of Microsoft's mobile operating system.

The 4.7-inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen almost qualifies this as a "tabphone": half tablet half phone. And it won't be short in other areas: the Titan is going to sport a 1.5 GHz processor and an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash.

This smartphone will be one of the first with Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango). Microsoft has improved the web browser in this version, and made other enhancments as well.

The Titan is going to have 16GB of internal storage but no removable card slot. Other features will include a 1600 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, plus a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video conferencing over Skype.

AT&T will launch the HTC Titan at some point in the fourth quarter of the year. Pricing was not revelead.

In addition, this carrier's other Windows Phones from HTC, the HD7S and Surround, will get upgrades to Mango. When this is going to happen has not yet been announced, however.
