Hulu Plus for Android App Adds Nine New Devices

A recent update to Hulu Plus brings the TV streaming service to nine new Android devices. This more than doubles the number of smartphones that can access this video service.

Hulu Plus for Android, which first launched in June, is the Hulu website’s mobile option. It is a stand-alone app that requires a monthly subscription fee of $8, though users are given a free 7-day trial. It should be noted that all the TV content found on the full version of Hulu is not available on the mobile outlet. The complete listing of what’s available can be found on the Hulu website. 

The latest Android devices to support the software include the HTC Incredible 2, HTC Evo 3D, HTC Sensation 4G, Motorola Droid 3, Motorola Droid Bionic, Motorola X2, LG Revolution, LG G2X and the HTC Flyer tablet. 

These gadgets join the six smartphones that previously support Hulu Plus, which include the Google Nexus One, Samsung Nexus S, HTC Inspire 4G, Motorola Droid 2, Motorola Droid X and the Motorola Atrix 4G.

As Hulu continues to integrate its Hulu Plus software with Android-based devices, a version of this software for the iPhone was introduced last year. Perhaps Hulu Plus will soon begin supporting all Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices, like the Netflix app recently did.
