T-Mobile First to Commit to BlackBerry Curve 9360

T-Mobile has just announced its latest RIM BlackBerry device, with the Curve 9360 smartphone.

One of the variations from RIM?s BlackBerry Curve 9350 series, the entry-level BlackBerry will sport a 2.4-inch screen with a 480 x 360 resolution, a full QWERTY keyboard and an optical touch pad for navigation. The handset will also feature a 5MP camera with flash, Wi-Fi and preloaded apps, including the latest version of BBM and Documents to Go. The smartphone will pack an 800 MHz processor and will support up to 32GB of memory via a microSD card, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.

?Like its cousin, the BlackBerry Bold 9900, and the other four BlackBerry smarphones RIM announced last month, the Curve 9360 will ship with BlackBerry OS 7, better graphics and the new WebKit browser that supports HTML 5 video.

Starting today, Sept. 21, the BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be available for presale to T-Mobile?s business customers. Retail stores and select dealers will start selling the black version of the phone Sept. 28, while the merlot finish will be available Oct. 12. The Curve 9360 will retail for $80 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement.
