You have our attention Samsung! The company just raised our anticipation even higher after posting a teaser video for the Nexus Prime.
The next generation Nexus smartphone is expected to make its debut during Samsung’s Unpacked event in San Diego on Tuesday, Oct. 11. Another big name item is also said to be revealed that day, Google’s latest version of Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich.
Though the video doesn’t disclose much about the super smartphone or its OS, we do get a little peak at the Nexus Prime’s incredibly thin, curved glass display, one that is quite similar to the Nexus S. In addition, the smartphone features three small metal dots on the side, which could suggest support for dock accessories.
Earlier unconfirmed reports have indicated that this model will have a 4.5-inch display, 1.5GHz processor, and 4G. It's expected to be released by most if not all of the top U.S. carriers, though Verizon may re-name its version the Samsung Droid Prime.
New Android Version
The next update to Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich, is expected to blend Android OS 2.x (Honeycomb) and Android OS 3.x (Gingerbread) features into a single Android build, allowing the OS to run on both tablets and smartphoes.
Brighthand will be there Tuesday to keep you updated on all the details regarding Sammy's new phone and Google's latest platform.
