T-Mobile Adds myTouch Q and myTouch to Lineup

T-Mobile is introducing two mid-range Android smartphones to its myTouch collection. 

The T-Mobile myTouch Q will sport a 3.5-inch LCD display and will pack a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm chipset. The Gingerbread-based device is going to feature a QWERTY slider keyboard, which will house a Genius button that activates T-Mobile’s voice command system. Other specs of the smartphone include a 5MP rear-facing camera with 720p HD video capture.  

Despite releasing a smartphone with the same moniker in 2009, T-Mobile is bringing out another handset dubbed the myTouch. With a 3.8-inch touch screen, this device will offer users a virtual keyboard with Swype capabilities.

Like the myTouch Q, it will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be powered by a 1GHz single-core processor. While the handset will feature a rear-facing 5MP camera, it will also have a front-facing camera for video chatting needs.

Both phones are going to feature T-Mobile’s tips widget for a quick overview of available features, and the carrier’s Genius button. 

T-Mobile did not specify an exact launch date for either device, though according a leaked document the smartphones should hit shelves Nov. 2. The T-Mobile myTouch will be available in either black or white, while the myTouch Q will be offered in either gray or violet. 

Pricing has also not yet been revealed, but given their feature sets these won't be high-end models.
