T-Mobile Launches Its Samsung Galaxy S II

T-Mobile’s Galaxy S II is available today. The super smartphone made by Samsung costs $230 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a two-year contract. 

Like its Sprint variant, T-Mobile’s Galaxy S II sports a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Featuring an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing shooter, the Galaxy S II from T-Mobile packs a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB RAM. The handset comes equipped with enhancements to Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, Media Hub and Social Hub, a new Voice Talk feature for issuing voice commands and NFC connectivity.

This carrier also released the HTC Amaze 4G today, another Android-based smartphone with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. That model puts more emphasis on its camera, which is one of the best available in a handset.
