Motorola Atrix 2 Hits AT&T Store Shelves at $100

AT&T has begun offering the Motorola Atrix 2. It is the latest smartphone from this carrier that supports Motorola's Webtop technology, so it can be converted into laptop or desktop with the right accessories. 

Obviously, this is  is the replacement for the Atrix 4G, but it sports a slightly larger display than the original: 4.3 inches  with a qHD (960 x 540) resolution. Most of the other features aren't getting an upgrade, though.

The Atrix 2 runs Android OS 2.3 on a 1GHz dual-core processor. It has 8GB of internal storage and a 2GB microSD card, which means it is expandable to up to 40GB of memory.

This Motorola model can connect to AT&T's 4G HSPA+ network, and has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It features two cameras, including an 8MP rear-facing one. 

Like its predecessor, the Atrix 2 will connect to the optional Motorola Lapdock 100 or the HD Station to give users a larger keyboard or monitor. When connected, it switches to a version of Linux running the Firefox web browser for a desktop-like experience.

This smartphone is available now for just $100 with a two-year service agreement. That's half the price of the original when it launched early this year.
