While the Nokia Lumia 710 was spotted passing through the FCC with T-Mobile's 3G/4G 1700Mhz (AWS) bands, it was recently discovered that the phone will be unveiled by the carrier in January.
Dubbed with the internal codename “Sword,” the Lumia 710 is listed as coming in both black and white colors. Nokia took the wraps off the Microsoft Windows Phone-based device at Nokia World, which occurred last week in London.
Packing a 1.4GHz processor, the Lumia 710 will sport a 3.7-inch WVGA 800 x 480 TFT touchscreen. The phone will also feature a 5MP camera, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage and a 1300mAh battery. The Lumia 710 was said to retail for approximately 270 EUR in Europe, which would be approximately $376 here, however, T-Mobile has yet to officially announce a launch date or a price for the handset.
Nokia also unveiled the Lumia 800 last week, a higher-end smartphone that will feature a 3.7-inch AMOLED ClearBlack curved display. While there has been no news of a U.S. carrier picking up this Windows-enabled device, it will retail for approximately 420 EUR, or $585.
