The HTC Rezound is already yesterday’s news, despite only hitting stores on Monday, as a new leak of a possible HTC device codenamed Zeta has surfaced. However, a grain of salt should be taken with this report, as there's a good chance this is only someone's concept device.
Just like the HTC Edge that leaked last week, the Zeta will also be a quad-core handset, though with a much faster processor thanks to its supposed 2.5GHz APQ8064 CPU. Packing 1GB of RAM, the smartphone will sport a 4.5-inch 720p HD display.
According to the report, the uniquely shaped smartphone will come pre-installed with Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with HTC’s customary Sense UI and have 32GB of internal storage space. Equipped with an 1,830mAh battery, the Zeta will also feature Bluetooth 4.0, an 8MP rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, and 1080p video capture, plus a 1.3MP front-facing shooter.
Like its music-oriented cousin, the Rezound, the Zeta is said to also offer Beats audio technology. Adding a bit of weight to this, the Beats logo appears on the back of the leaked rendering.
The mystery smartphone will reportedly measure in at 4.3 x 2.4 x 0.4 inches (109.8 x 60.9 x 9.8 mm) and will weight 5.15 ounces (146g).
If this turns out to be real, Brighthand will be sure to keep you posted if any more news breaks on this smartphone.
